Photographing families on the beach was definitely my thing last year, and this Weekapaug RI family portrait was no exception! Caroline and her family vacation in Weekapaug every year, but last year was different. Her mom was celebrating a particularly special birthday milestone, and what better way to commemorate it with a family portrait session?! Personally, I can think of nothing better, but it’s possible that I am a little bit biased haha.

We met up on their favorite beach early one morning in August. When kids are involved, we snap the traditional photos and then we let the kids play! These twin boys were impressively cooperative, so their play time came really quickly! And of course, it was specifically important to get photos with their grandparents, classic or informal, so that was a focus as well.

Honoring a milestone with a photo session is a truly special way to celebrate life’s meaningful moments. Heck, I am under the impression that you should schedule family portraits no matter what, milestone or not! But I think I have mentioned that a time or two before, so that notion is nothing new to anyone, right?? In any case, it was my pleasure to photograph Caroline’s family in celebration of her mom’s birthday!
