Photographers have the distinct privilege of photographing their family’s daily and special events, almost on a moment’s notice. It’s expected of us, yes, but it makes us feel like we are creating a record of our lives on this earth — whether the moments are big or small, they are the times that matter to us. We know we will remember these times, but we are grateful for the images that are cemented in history when our memories begin to fade. I am particularly grateful for the small stuff that happens, even if I am not always armed with my photographic weapon of choice. But when I am, I am happy to chronicle all the great things that happen, big and small, for as many people as I can. It’s the best gift you can give.
