Summer Boston Engagement Session

I’m a big fan of portrait sessions in Boston because inevitably my couples are sharing with me their favorite parts of the city, and most likely areas that I am not as familiar with. Unless your session is at Fenway Park or the Boston Public Garden, there’s a chance that it will be new to me! hehe. Susie and Andy live in the South End on a road lined with beautiful brownstones that are so quintessential Boston; their neighborhood looks like it’s straight out of a postcard. We explored the cobblestone streets and surrounding parks in their neck of the woods, and then made our way over to the Charles River Esplanade for some photos by the water. Boston is so versatile! Susie and Andy were so cute and natural and playful, and laughed at my jokes (which is always a good sign!), and we just had such a fun time that we almost ran out of daylight! So looking forward to shooting their wedding at Glen Manor next June!

Pro tip: always wear comfortable shoes when shooting engagement sessions in Boston :)
Pro tip #2: when your client makes special arrangements for street parking in Boston, don’t be afraid to let her park your car for you, especially if parallel parking is really not your thing :)
