A fall wedding at the Glen Manor House is nothing short of breathtaking. One cannot deny the impact and beauty of exquisite water views, the grandness of the manor’s architecture, and the luxuriant garden and grounds. The weather on the day of C + C’s wedding last September was truly perfect! Janet and I have been known to say that the light at the Glen is magical, and this day was no exception!
C + C are a very private couple, so while you won’t see much of them from their wedding day, I did still want to share their amazing event. They made a lot of decisions based more on instinct and sentiment, and less on tradition and formality. One example of their unique approach was their decision to walk down the aisle together for the processional. As a photographer – and a human – I found this quite moving and romantic, as if they were entering this new stage of their life together. They also chose to forgo a wedding party in favor of spending more time together with each other. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the chaos and excitement of a wedding day, so when a couple strongly decides to shift that focus on what will make them the most happy, it’s quite nice and refreshing!
Moving on to the reception, the tabletop centerpieces featured tall candles, small floral vases, and lush greenery which created a simple but impactful statement. Additionally, these layers of texture, height, and warmth produced an elegant, natural and romantic atmosphere, setting the tone for an intimate and visually stunning celebration.
Congratulations and heartfelt wishes for a wonderful marriage to C + C!
